I'll be having my interns next sem....

I'll be working from the 4th oct till 31st dec

at Oriental Food Industries

Ayer Keroh, Melaka... I'll be spending more than 3 months here....

i had this for lunch...

21/8- After my last test for this sem...i went for dinner at dong hai with my lovely coursemates...

At midnight we celebrated alex yee wei's 21st birthday...

Happy birthday to you with full of love from all of us!!!

After hardly any time left to sleep...and the electricity was shut down for four hours due to maintanence ah yan and i quickly rush our reports..

then we left at four something in the morning to ktm station...

thank you soon leong gor gor for fetching us there...

anyway i have sat on a bullet train in japan before...

i have sat on the eurostar in europe before...

i have sat trains in korea, in china, in new zealand..in all over the world...

but on 22/8 is the first time in my life i board a ktm!!!

to many ppl is NOTHING...

but to me this is SOMETHING...

hahahhaa..i had the same feelings in me when i first board a plane years ago...

i thank ah yan for guiding me =)

we reach there pretty early...took our breakfast at kl sentral...

then we took another ktm train to ukm...

i met up with sook peng there while ah yan meet up with her own fren..

i left with sook peng to sg.wang..

from there we went to sooooo many places...

i walk, eat and play like there is no tomorrow...

i reached kampar at midnight...

dead tire..but i have a freakinggg fun and lovely day^^

Some random stuffs bout my studies for this sem...I simplified it so that it'll not look too scientific..

this is the induction of root...

we culture it using some nutrients medium with growth regulators...

from merely a piece of small leaf or stem

it will turn into this marvelous piece of art..

or it can get contaminated which always happen to noobies like us~

this is the bacteria cells observed under the microscope...

my lovely genetics lecturer and us^^

plants that we cultured...

dissected fruit fly larvae...

looks marvelous but the process is disgusting..

gel electrophoresis...

a process where we determine our DNA and protein

molecular weight....

i used the device bellow for countless time and still hate it =P...

molecular biology lecturer and us=)

plant tissue...the red leaves cut into pieces...

this is where we do our plant and animal tissue culture....

If you know me well you 'll realise that birthdays to me is a very special celebration...

I got very excited when there is a birthday coming..

Though its not mine..

In my life I always thought that on a person's birthday he/she suppose to be happy,suprise and grateful..

It should be a day of singing, gathering and full of companion and joy...

But after a short talk with jiamin the other day...

I realised I was wrong...very wrong indeed...

On one's birthday there need not to be a bunch of friends there singing and clapping their hands to you..

Especially when the ppl who is singing and clapping aren't really close to you...

There need not to be the blowing cake and making the wish thingy...

It is in fact a day where the person whose birthday suppose to choose what he/she wants to do on that day and who to celebrate with...

There is no need for a suprise planning and inviting a whole bunch of ppl over...

Its no need for so much of an effort when in the end

I am the one who is happy instead of the person who is celebrating..

Now when i look at it..Birthdays disgust me...

I have interpret wrongly the whole concept of this ocassion..

It should be a day...

where he/she do what they love to do...

after all its YOUR day...

18/7- One of the most meaningful day of my life...

Jiamin and i together with two junior and two senior who fetches us

went and do some community service at a orang asli settlement..

our job is to educate the orang asli children there...

taman ros,kampar

the scenery is mesmerising...

This children are comprises of all ages...

They really got sooo excited when they see us came...

I am very happy to see them too...

i put in a lot lot lot of effort to teach these princesses here^^

Despite all the unfortunate events i faced today...soon leong showed me this double rainbow picture he captured..i've been here for more than a year..but i din see any before..

he wanted to eat durian so much and we almost give up walking at the packed pasar malam finding for durian...

but in the end we went to a side small lorong..

14/7- Just when i thought all had ended..BAD LUCK PART II arrived on this very memorable day^^

5/7- one year had passed...many things had changed...due to many unfortunate circumstances its pretty hard to gather everyone to sit down and makan like we used to have..and for this i must sincerely thank wai li effort for gathering everyone to come and have a dinner as a big big family at "lei fatt" a restaurant that i believe will be a memorable place after we graduated..

my housemates=)

at first i felt pretty lonely staying in this new house...

but as time pass by i grow really close with this people...

they bring lots of warm and love to my life...

you see the thing with me is i don't really like to socialise much...

i dont talk a lottt to you unless you are really close with me...

but this ppl here...they can talk talk talk and laugh laugh laugh to me...

until i cant help it but ended up crazy with them...

they even watch football with me till late at night and sometimes till the wee hours of the morning..

1/7- a bad luck day...

i went with jiamin to tesco to pick up my phone and do some grocery shopping..

its raining..

i forgotten to off the car light...

ended up the car cannot start...try very desperately...but still failed...

freaking cuak...

this is my 4th year of driving...i have never face such incident in my life before...ishh...

while waiting for ivan for help...

i help jiamin to shift the things we bought into the car...

while shifting..suddenly the plastic of three bottles of 100 plus broke and fall onto my foot...

painnnnnnn likeee helllll...

sialll betulll...malang summo raining...T.T

then ivan came...

he came down from the car...

open the bonnet..

at the moment i felt really touch..

its been sometime since i talked to him due to some silly misunderstanding..

i am glad he came and try his best to help..

2/7- i went to file a complain at kent due to my fan who is going to fall any moment... >.
my malang nasib continue when the clerk told me...the maintenance guy just too leave and tomorrow he is not coming to work...i have to wait till monday...lolz...

then at night daddy called me...

daddy: hahaha..mummy told me you met with some bad luck?

me: yes lahhh...so chamm ahhhh...

daddy: another bad luck is coming to you..your most favourite team going to lose... (i am netherland greattttttttttttttt supporter)

me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....( although deep down i already quite prepared netherland might loose since brazil sooo strong)

daddy: hahahhaha....

the beginning of the match about ten minutes when brazil goal...i feel really down...my bad luck..zzzz

then as the match progresses..i felt my GOOD LUCK fills the air..hahahha...happiness was swelling deep into the core of my heart...it really wonders my life with the ended match of 2-1..with netherland winning...i feel sooo touch until choke with tears..hah!!having support netherland right from the beginning and NEVER miss a single of their matches..this is the first time i see they execute really really well=D...

i then sent a beautiful message to daddy that reads:

I am a gal who believes in destiny, hope and miracle..even when the chances are very very slim..

30/6- exactly one and a half month after my birthday...

well right after i came back from my holiday trip to europe, i decided to switch on my phone anticipating to read my birthday wishes..but unfortunately due to my careless mistake i left my charger in kampar...so i took out the sim card and insert into daddy's phone..but no message..nothing..

after i came back to kampar i quickly insert back to my own phone..hoping that i'll received all those messages..i waited for a WEEK..again i received nothing...

so i reinsert back the sim card back to daddy's phone and left it there since my phone keypad spoiled ready..thinking that i will never ever see those messages again..but deep down i wish deeply i could see it one day..

and on the 30/6 i reinsert back the sim card back my own phone because i decided to bring my phone to repair at tesco..suddenly i received lottttss of incoming messages and miscalls..

i looked and felt really speechless...its all my birthday messages..as i read all of them its pretty touching...i felt my whole body is shaking with a feeling so overwhelming that is hard to control..its makes my day a lottt=)

arvin you really called me twice that day...ape u wanna tel me??heheh=P

sorry for not updating for more than a month..the connection in my hostel had been really depressing..anyway lets do some recap here...

31/5- The beginning of year 2 trimester 1..one year had past...time really do flies huh..not only do i found lots of new housemates which treats me pretty well..and they call me jie jie instead of my name..>.< happening=")">

besides them, pei sing's sis is here..doing biotech..and yee wei's gf shenny is doing pure chem..hopefully one day i can post up a picture with all of them here..

from the aspect of academic, subjects are heavy and tough..there are soo much to learn and soo much to love=)

i went back home on the 4th of june to take my hdphone which i carelessly left at home and to hang out with gwen..both of us had a fantastic time on that day=)

on the 7/6- we went for waltz pratice...frankly speaking its my first time dancing..i am a great fan of so you think you can dance..but on monday i just realise how hard dancing can really be..its real hard..i perspire a lot but i enjoy and had lots of fun=D

on the 9/6- my first attended utar prom night held by the biological society and enviromental society as well..i met many ppl that night..especially old frens that i had not met for a very very long time..ppl like yi gang, khien ping, peat ming..who came all the way from setapak...i miss my td3 frens a lottt...its a night to remember=)

19/4- It's Sultan Perak birthday...so we celebrate for him with steamboat...hah!kidding..

Since its a holiday...so i organise a home-made steamboat at 1327..for health purpose(cleaner) and of course much cheaper compare to the outside prices..

19 ppl came and makan together..a great day to come together as a big family..to strengthen bonds between coursemates and also to bring each other closer...

What an amazing book. Push by Sapphire tells the heartbreaking and inspiring story of Claireece Precious Jones. This novel is told from the point of view of Precious who is an illiterate Harlem teenager. This book really makes you appreciate what you have in life.

Precious begins writing her story when she is sixteen. The book starts with Precious telling about when she was twelve, and already pregnant with her first child by her father. She loves school even though she is illiterate. In math class, she never opens her book because all the pages look the same but she will not tell anyone this.

After Precious has her first baby on the floor of her home she leaves school for a year. This baby has Down syndrome. When she returns to school, she again becomes pregnant by her father. When the school finds out she is pregnant they expel her. Eager to learn, Precious attends Each One, Teach One, an alternative school located in Hotel Theresa. This is when her life slowly begins to get better. Here Precious meets Mrs. Rain. Mrs. Rain believes in Precious and is pretty much the only person who cares about Precious. While attending Each One, Teach One precious has her second baby. Soon after, she leaves her home and stays in a half way house. She then finds out via her mother that her father had the AIDs virus and died. After being tested, she discovers that she also has the AIDs virus, but her baby does not. Precious is determined not to let her baby grow up illiterate. She reads to him and teaches him the alphabet.

From this point on Precious’s life begins to get better. She meets with her mother and gets counseling about incest. Towards the end of the book Precious is almost able to enter the GED class.

Precious has dealt with more hardships in her short life than several people should have to endure over a lifetime. At first, the book was a little difficult to read with all of the misspellings and incorrect word usage, but after the first few pages, I became accustomed to it. The way the book was written with these mistakes really adds to the experience of the book. If these mistakes had not been included in the book it would have taken away from the power the book has to inflict emotion on the reader.

The details given about Precious’s home life are very disturbing. I cannot begin to feel her pain or imagine what it is like to be raped by a family member at such a young age. This book is able to inflict anger, sadness, hope, and frustration all within a few pages of each other. Anger because of the way she is treated. Sadness because she has nowhere to go. Hope because she has a chance at a better life. Frustration because of the way the education system treats her.

This book really puts a spotlight on the problems with the education system in America. Students are sometimes forgotten about and just passed form one grade to the next without the necessary skills. Perhaps if Precious had not been forgotten about in the school system she could have had a better life.

This is a very emotional book. Anyone who reads this book will walk away with a feeling of gratitude for what they have in life. No one should ever have to deal with the pain and hardships that Precious has had to deal with. After reading this book, I defiantly have a different outlook on life and would recommend this book to a friend.

so I went along with a group of them for asam laksa...

ok this is the besttttttttttttttt food i ever tasted in kampar...

Croacroaches FREAKS me a lotttt...

I got very very emotional when I am watching movies in the cinema...I will grab the person next to me hand if I am scareee...I will cry like an idiot if its a touching or saddening scene...

I got very tense up if there is someone mopping the floor and I know I have to step on that spot...I will somehow try to hop or tip toe over the other side...

Window shopping to me is an extremely boring thing...I prefer camping and dont mind in getting myself sweat and dirt all over as long as I am close to nature...

I am afraid of blood and ghost or horror movie is a NONO!!!

I love poems,soothing soft oldies songs and an interesting novel or comic books can make me read all day=)..

I love travelling a lottt and going to zoo is a yesss!!!one day I hope I can visit every zoo and animal park in the world~

18/1-the beginning of Sem 3

So far its been very very happening...

What can I say??

I learn a lottt each and everday...

I've changed my mode of transport to Baby Blue my faithful bike...

I don't deny that cycling back and forth to uni can be very exhausting and tiring at times but deep down I felt pretty much alive when I reach for classes...

We just tend to appreciate it more when things dont comes easy in life...

I started to cook too on alternate days..

If you know me well, you'll realise that I loveee watching cooking channels but had never ever cook a proper dish in my entire life before...

But believe me I enjoy being in the kitchen nowadays...

I am really glad I did take the initiave to learn from you mum...

Though mine was never going to be as GOOD as yours...

But I am trying to improve in every aspect possible..

I thank God sincerely for answering my prayers for this brand new year...

well daddy this is the answer to the question you asked me to check it out for you yesterday...

that email is really a hoax....because of the high sulfur content, onions are an antibacterial agent. Nothing is a "magnet" for bacteria although it was an old wives tale (similar to eating fish and milk in the same meal) that cut onions would absorb the bacteria in the air and render the passing of disease less likely. Some "old timers" would leave a plate of sliced onions out in the house when someone was ill so the germs would go to the onion and not make others sick. And my great grandmother made an onion poultice to clear up a chest cold. And we also know that eating raw onion reduces cholesterol and reduces blood clotting, and some believe that onions and garlic eaten raw will cure a cold. Onions contain a powerful antioxidant. However, I do know that onions or potatoes or carrots that have been grown in soil contaminated with fecal bacteria have the potential for carrying the bacteria on the skin and if not proplerly washed, the inside of the vegetable could become contaminated with ecoli and the bacteria could grow and make you sick. So....peel your onions and wash your potatoes....but potatoes boiled for salad would not carry ecoli. Most likely the food at a picnic that made yous ick was the fried chicken, the undercooked burger ior the coconut cream pie. Neither onions nor cut potatoes can "become a magnet" for bacteria. If that were so, the public healths ervice would mandate piles of cut onions and potatoes in public places rather than recommending hand washing.

hi mummy, i didnt tell you bout this because i thought it's a small matter..anyway on sunday i had this infection on my left arm..it's a lil itchy and painful and i thought applying some cream will be ok...but until today it had not recover and in fact it is fill with nanah..and it is very painful at times...

so after class today i went with huey yiing my coursemate to see the doctor...and errmm...lets just say i create a very embarassing scene there...i make both the doctor and nurse goes -----> =.="""""""""""""...the moment the doctor took out the needle and prick my wound i almost felt like fainting...i forgotten how loud i shouted but i think i almost break huey yiing's hand..it's sooo freaking pain!!!and the blood oozing out with the nanah i cant take it...i hold huey yiing's hand soo tightly and seriously i think i almost bite it but i didn't =P...heheh...

wrap with cotton and some antiseptic cream...

these cost me rm30...

Well before I tell you a very saddening news, meet kylie the girl who stays next to my room..

Because of my outmost guiltiness for neglecting her last sem, i decided to make it an effort to have dinner with her every monday evening...

First to thank her sincerely for helping me out last sem and also to get to know her better in person...

I am really glad I spend some time to sit down and have dinner with her as our friendship certainly progresses from a simple hi and bye when we meet to a longer conversations and with a added warm and welcoming smile as well..which makes life feel good~oh yeah^^

Anyway the bad news is regarding sook peng...her mum's report is out and it reaches a critical stage that the doctor said that even if they operate the tumour she will not survive...

Well many will ask me why as christians we go to church every sunday??why is it that we cannot pray at home??Why is it that we must make it an effort to attend mass if possibly without fail every single church service??

When I was young I always thought that the reason ppl go to church is because they are afraid they might end up in hell when they died...I always thought that the sole reason they attend mass is because it is a sin not to receive the Holy Communion...God will punish you if you don't go to church....and because of these I hate to go to church...the stubborness and rebellious attitude of mine shall justify em..RULES to be me are not meant to be followed you see =)

But today right as this moment I can tel you all this assumptions of mine ain't really true...Going to church is not a MUST but rather I believe a WILL that comes from the heart...its only then you'll keep going no matter how busy, how tire or how lazy you are...Its during mass that you'll understand GOD and get to know him better...its in church service that you'll really learn to draw nearer to GOD...to seek HIM no matter you are happy or sad, successful or failed, rich or poor, healthy or sick...

Going to church is like a yum char session with GOD.hah! to me la >.<
its like having a date with him every sunday morning...He is like a friend to us...where we share everything...and best part is He's a good listener and your lil secrets is safe with him...

Everytime I step into a church I can see many elderly people...Old man and lady and some even travel all the way here in Kampar from the outskirts...well had you ever wonder why did an old man or women in their seventies or eighties on a wheel chair even bothered to come all the way to church to pray???do you really think they are too free or they are too afraid to die and go to hell??

No...they dont make it an effort to go to church for themselves...in fact they do it for their spouse,children, their grandchildren and even their great grandchildren that they will leave behind one day...

This is what to me makes prayer a very beautiful thing...Its something so personal yet it inter connects many people in it...

Its a tool of communication with GOD...and believe me if you ask whole heartedly, your prayer will be answered...

The reason I post this entry is because I would like thank you and daddy sincerely for the prayers you had for me every night without fail during this twenty years of my life...Many said I am a lucky gal...My life is almost perfect...but I know this is not pure luck but the blessing from the prayers you had for me...If there is one thing I felt really lucky in life is that I had two ppl praying for me..

This is something I wrote on Nov 2004.. now i'll like dedicate it to anyone who had a broken heart..we must always remember love similar to beauty is something undefinable..it might comes beautifully and end tragicly or vice versa but which ever way i truly believe in the end of the day it did more or less beautified your life..
